Ipad boleh saja duluan diluncurkan dan berhasil. Kebiasaan baru menyeruak: menyentuh layar lebar, menggantikan kebiasaan mengetik di keyboard. Padahal baru saja computer jinjing ( netbook ) lebih mudah dimiliki orang karena harganya terjangkau. Tetapi Ipad tidak bias lagi melenggang sendiri karena pesaing-pesaing langsung masuk pasar: Dell Streak, Viewsonic dan yang lama dirancang menjadi penantang langsung Ipad; Samsung.
